Ex-Steelers wide receiver Plaxico Burress vows to return to the NFL and said he apologized to the New York Giants for tarnishing the organization in an interview with Bill Cowher that is set to air Sunday on CBS. The interview was done from the upstate New York prison where Burress is currently incarcerated after pleading guilty to attempted weapons possession in the second degree.
Another ex-Steeler making headlines is Joey Porter. Porter is making it known that he wants to be released from the Dolphins and not traded. Porter claims he wants to play out west closer to his family in California.

EA Sports announced on Friday that Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu and Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald will both be on the cover of the new Madden NFL 10, that is set to hit the store shelves on Friday, August 14. This is the first time in the 21-year history of the Madden NFL franchise, two players will be shown on the cover of the award-winning football game.
