Former Steelers great defensive back and Hall of Famer Rod Woodson will likely be candidate to be the new Cincinnati Bengals secondary coach according to their head coach Marvin Lewis on Wednesday. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw two touchdown passes Sunday to help lead the AFC to a 59-41 win over the NFC in the annual NFL All-Star game. Scott Brown reports on Twitter this morning that Pittsburgh Steelers veteran defensive end Aaron Smith told reporters this morning that he is completely healthy following the spinal-fusion surgery that he had back in November and that he could play tomorrow if he could. Jon Linder of WQAM in Miami, Florida, told me tonight via Twitter that he talked to Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey today and asked him about the injury status of his twin bother, Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey, and Mike told him, "I think my brother's gonna have to sit out this week." Despite their win last Sunday night against the Chiefs, the Steelers received almost no help in the other week 12 games to get some separation as far as the 2011 playoff picture goes.
