There are just 5 days left in the 2011 Pro Bowl voting and the latest update of votes shows that Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace has fallen out of the top 10 since we last updated on December 1st. Center Maurkice Pouncey still leads the AFC center voting with 301,423 votes and safety Troy Polamalu leads the AFC safety voting with 191,550.

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported tonight during halftime of the Eagles Bears Monday night football game that Steelers linebacker James Harrison will likely join teammate Ryan Clark and Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis as players that might be fined for hits during the Steelers Ravens Sunday night game.
I detailed the hits by both Clark and Lewis last night, but it was not until tonight that I decided to go back and look at the tape again to see the hit that Schefter was referencing in his report. The hit in question happened with 8:36 left in the third quarter after Ravens running back Ray

Here we go again! Steelers Ravens re-match and I do not think this game will let down the prime-time viewership. The Ravens really took it to the Steelers back in week as they ran away with a 35-7 win. The Steelers did not help their own cause in the game by turning the ball over 7 times. So many things have changed since week 1 as the defensive line has a different starter and the offensive line has 3 different pieces. The Steelers have key linebacker injuries, but also get back a few linebackers that have been out a while. Should the Steelers win this game, it will give them a firm 1 game lead

Steelers right guard Doug Legursky has been fined $10,000 for a personal foul clip on Seahawks defensive tackle Al Woods during the third quarter of Sunday's game according to Mark Kaboly. Legursky clipped Woods from behind on a 1st & 10 pass play to running back Rashard Mendenhall. Legursky was flagged 15 yards on the play. According to Scott Brown, Legursky will appeal the fine.
Legursky is the 3rd Steelers player fined this season as safety Troy Polamalu was fined $15,000 last week for unnecessary roughness for his horse-collar tackle on Ravens running back Ricky Williams. Also fined in week

The Steelers come off of a week 1 road drubbing against the Ravens and get the Seattle Seahawks at home as get well medicine. The Seahawks played a close game against the 49ers in week 1, but their special teams gave way the game. The Steelers are right around two touchdown favorites heading into this game and nothing helps forget a blowout loss more than blowing out the team you face the next week. As I do every week, here are my 7 things to watch for on Sunday as the Steelers host the Seahawks at Heinz Field along with my final score prediction.
Special Sunday - The Seahawks special teams unit

I did not get too many of my observations in the game recap yesterday as I wanted to go back through the game a few times to pick it apart more. I watched it again a few times last night while doing some charting and here are a few notable observations and not many of them are earth shattering as to what my eyes saw live.
The pass rush on the edge was just not there and the Ravens did a great job picking up the blitz with all everything fullback Vonta Leach and the young Ravens tight ends also blocked much better than I thought they would have. You can not give any quarterback that much time

Here we go with week 1 of the 2011 season and what a way to begin it. There is never a great time to play the Baltimore Ravens, but if there were, it would be week 1 with all of the changes that the Ravens have made coming out of a lockout that resulted in missed mini-camps and OTA sessions. The Steelers only have 7 new players on the roster with 6 of them being rookies. After a slow start in week 1 of the preseason against the Redskins, the Steelers really came together quickly on both sides of the ball and look very prepared to start the season with a bang. As I do every week of the season, here

The Steelers 2011 season kicks off this Sunday and I have purposely waited until now to post a game by game quick look ahead at the Steelers 2011 schedule. The free agent moves and final roster cuts have taken place around the league and it provides a much clearer look at where teams are at that the Steelers will face this year. I will not go too much into depth with each game and will try to capsulize each. So many things can change the further you get into the season and you never can predict injuries that may occur along the way. With all of those disclaimers out of the way, here is a quick

Steelers backup quarterback Byron Leftwich said that the broken arm he suffered against the Falcons was the worst pain he has ever experienced and that he has refused to watch the replay of the injury. Leftwich said he went into survival mode right after it happened and that it hasn’t completely sunk in yet that he will be out for the season.
Outside of the Leftwich injury it appears the Steelers are a fairly healthy team entering week 1 against the Ravens as cornerbacks Ike Taylor and Bryant McFadden should be ready to play barring any setbacks. Taylor is scheduled to have the pin removed

The Ravens might of helped quarterback Ben Roethlisberger out by breaking his nose early. He probably forgot how bad his foot hurt. He looked full of adrenaline tonight and sailed several throws he normally makes. In crunch time though, he used the Houdini to get rid of the ball and avoid a sack. How big was that hard count on 4th down?
Props to Isaac Redman for finding a way to get into the endzone. He does not get many snaps on the field, but made a huge contribution. Broke through several tackles.
The line continues to suffer injuries and as a whole looked bad in both run blocking and

This game might be more important to the Steelers than it is the Ravens because a loss by the Steelers almost assures them not winning the AFC North division. If the Ravens lose, they are just one game back, where as if the Steelers lose, they are two back on head-to-head tie breakers The Steelers lost in week 4 on a last minute touchdown by wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh and the Steelers offense blew a chance to put the Ravens away late bin the game by committing crucial penalties and failing to convert just one more first down to run out the clock. This will be a measuring stick for the Steelers

The Steelers wrapped up practice preparations on Friday for their week 13 game against the Ravens on Sunday night in Baltimore. QB Ben Roethlisberger (foot) was limited for a 3rd straight day and is listed as questionable on the injury report. Baring a setback, he should be good to go. T Flozell Adams (back), DE Nick Eason (knee), DE Brett Keisel (calf), CB Bryant McFadden (hamstring) and S Troy Polamalu (ankle) all practiced fully on Friday and all are listed as probable. TE Matt Spaeth (concussion) will miss his second straight game as he is out this week with a concussion. CB Keenan Lewis practiced

I have been asked by several to put together a video of the false starts of Ravens left tackle Michael Oher from the week 4 game versus the Baltimore Ravens. I put 15 plays on the video and while some are a bit ticky-tack I admit, there are others that are quite obvious that should of been called. I put all close ones so you could compare and make your decisions. They get worse as the game goes on and are in chronological order. I am not going to put an arrow on Oher and go much in depth with this, but Oher is the left tackle and wears #74. I am not saying these cost the Steelers the game, but
