Below is the play by play break down of the offensive line from the Sunday night week 10 game versus the New England Patriots. It is merely a pass or fail grade on if I think the lineman did his job or not. It also should be noted that we go under assumptions that we know what the assignment on each play was and sometimes it is not obvious. We have to grade on what we see and go from there. We added small notes to each play as well. As always if you disagree with any play, do so respectfully in the comments and give your reason so I can go back through and re-watch your disagreement. I did not

Stinker for sure. Not anything we have not seen though over the last few weeks as teams have been taking everything underneath and been patient. Once the defensive backs cheat up, teams can homerun you.
It is obvious that teams work the out on Bryant McFadden and try to get William Gay on a slot guy with everyone else clearing out the center of the field. Tight end Rob Gronkowski looked like a Pro Bowler.
Tom Brady was very accurate, very patient and hardly felt any pressure all night. In a Dick LeBeau 3-4 defense, defensive ends are not known to get a ton of pressure, they surely didn't

The Steelers finally come back home after a 3 game road trip that saw them go 2-1. The New England Patriots are finding ways to win and have matched the 6-2 start of the Steelers. With the Ravens Thursday night loss to the Falcons, the Steelers can take a one game lead in the division with a win. Below are what we deem to be 7 keys to the game for the Steelers to beat the Patriots in week 10 on Sunday Night Football.
Great Scott? - Jonathan Scott will start at left tackle with Max Starks now out for the season with a neck injury. Scott will likely see a ton of outside linebacker Rob Ninkovich

With the Steelers Friday injury report in and no roster moves expected on Saturday this week to bring a player up from the practice squad, it is time to take a stab at the likely week 10 inactives. Injuries help narrow it down some along with the past gameday inactives. Below are the eight players we expect to see on the Steelers inactive list released 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday night against the New England Patriots.
QB Charlie Batch - I can't see Uncle Charlie getting promoted above Byron Leftwich this week. Let us hope that we do not have to see either for the rest of the season.

The Steelers wrapped up practice preparation s on Friday and released their week end injury report for the Sunday night game against the New England Patriots. S Will Allen (concussion) and TE Heath Miller (knee) both practiced fully on Friday after both sat out on Thursday. Both are listed as probable on the injury report. DE Brett Keisel (hamstring) and G Chris Kemoeatu (knee, ankle) both sat out for the 3rd straight day and are listed as doubtful. Ramon Foster will likely start at left guard in place of Kemoeatu while Nick Eason will get the nod at right defensive end. RB Isaac Redman (concussion)

The Steelers resumed practice preparations on Thursday for their Sunday night home game against the New England Patriots. S Will Allen (concussion), DE Brett Keisel (hamstring), G Chris Kemoeatu (knee, ankle), TE Heath Miller (knee) and DE Aaron Smith (triceps) did not practice on Thursday. Smith of course has long been ruled out and it is not looking good for Kemoeatu to play this week. He will be replaced by Ramon Foster at left guard. Allen had practiced fully on Wednesday and may have had a setback with his concussion. Miller and Keisel look questionable right now. RB Mewelde Moore (concussion)

The first 8 games are in the books and that puts as officially at the half way point of the Steelers 2010 season. It is time to recap the play by play breakdowns of the first 8 weeks of the season and post the totals. I have linked to each individual breakdown page so as you can go back and look at that weeks play by play breakdown.
Yes, Maurkice Pouncey has been that good so far and Chris Kemoeatu has been so consistent. He is especially nasty in the running game. It is hard to judge the work of Ramon Foster thus far as he only has 48 snaps or so under his belt. we likely will get a much longer

The Steelers started their practice preparations on Wednesday for the week 10 home game Sunday night against the New England Patriots. DE Aaron Smith (triceps) remains sidelined and will not play again this week. G Chris Kemoeatu (knee, ankle) also sat out on Wednesday and is not looking like he will be ready for Sunday by the early reports. If he can not go, Ramon Foster will likely get the start at left guard. DE Brett Keisel (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. Also sitting out were K Jeff Reed (illness) and TE Heath Miller (knee). By all accounts, RB Mewelde Moore, RB Isaac Redman and

The Steelers make their one and only scheduled Monday Night Football appearance this week on the road in Cincinnati. The inactives are a little easier to judge this week based on a solid history of 7 games and one player listed out on the injury report in the form of Aaron Smith. The only real mystery revolves around if Keenan Lewis or Steve McLendon will be the one to sit with Brett Keisel scheduled to return from his hamstring injury. Below are the eight players we expect to see on the Steelers inactive list released 90 minutes before kickoff on Monday night against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Injuries always make the inactive list a bit easier to predict. This week Aaron Smith is out and Brett Keisel is all but out for his second straight week. Steve McLendon was promoted earlier today to the 53 man roster and rookie linebacker Thaddeus Gibson was waived. Below are the eight players we expect to see on the Steelers inactive list released 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday night against the New Orleans Saints.
QB Charlie Batch - Byron Leftwich remains the #2 and Batch the emergency #3. You think the Cowboys would kill to have either of these two guys right now?
DE Brett Keisel

The World Champion New Orleans Saints are coming off of a surprising loss against the Browns while the Steelers road trip continues after a win against the Dolphins. This is the 2nd game of 3 game road trip for the Steelers and will be played in a supercharged Superdome on Halloween night in front of a national television audience. Below are what we deem to be 7 keys to the game for the Steelers to beat the Saints in week 8 down in the Big Easy and move to 6-1 on the season.
Good Look Under The Hood - Yes it is an obvious factor in this game. Yes the media and and every blogger has talked about
