Another day another practice squad move as former 2009 6th round draft pick Ra'Shon Sunny Harris was signed back to the Steelers practice squad on Wednesday. The Steelers had an opening after Al Woods was signed off of the practice squad by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Harris was with the Steelers through the preseason and released in the final roster cuts. He was claimed off waivers by the Buffalo Bills on October 6, 2010 and placed on their practice squad, but released later in the month.

Attached is the defensive player participation chart for all plays on Steelers defense in the week 3 preseason game versus the Denver Broncos and does not include penalties considered no plays. You can follow along play by play withe the gamebook here. Please make sure to credit us if you lift this information. The thing that sticks out the most on defense this week is just how late Joe Burnett is getting into games and also Sunny Harris only getting 8 snaps. I think both of these players are sitting squarely on the bubble at the moment and need strong games versus Carolina.

It looks like the Steelers are indeed done with contracts for the offseason and once the season starts, no new deals are likely to be done, especially with the cloudy NFL labor situation. To the best of my calculations, the Steelers have 25 of 81 players on the final year of their current contract. I did not prioritize them below, but it is not hard to pick out those that are high profile moving forward. Those players would be: LaMarr Woodley, Ike Taylor, Jeff Reed and Daniel Sepulveda in my opinion. Dennis Dixon, Willie Colon and Trai Essex are fringe at this point. I have included a blurb on

This weeks tea leaves are pretty murky as far as game day inactives versus the Dolphins on Sunday. Quarterback Charlie Batch will be the number 3 again with all likelihood this week as Dennis Dixon is the clear number 2 now. Safety Troy Polamalu and guard Chris Kemoeatu in all likelihood will be inactive this week. Kemoeatu might still play, but I look for Ramon Foster to start again in his place and that means Tony Hills will likely be given a helmet again this week while rookie Kraig Urbik seeing his normal spot on the inactive list. Newly signed cornerback Trae Williams probably is not up to

The Steelers came into the second day of the draft with eight picks to make and I surely did not think they would finish the day with eight players picked. I thought they would package a few to move up earlier in a round. Maybe they tried and just did not have what teams wanted to move up. Regardless, we can now welcome eight additional players to the Steelers fold to join Evander "Ziggy" Hood who was drafted on Saturday.
The Steelers had a busy third round, beginning with offensive linemen Kraig Urbik from Wisconsin. Although listed as a tackle, Urbik is expected to begin working at the right

The Steelers drafted defensive tackle Ra'Shon Harris, from Oregon with their 6th round pick of the 2009 NFL draft. The pick was the 205th overall and the 32nd pick of the sixth round.

Below is my 2009 Steelers mock draft for the upcoming NFL draft on April 25th & 26th. Unless anything major happens in the next few days, I will be sticking with this mock draft as my official mock. Please feel free to comment below on why they will or will not draft the players below.
Round 1 - T Eben Britton - Arizona
Played both offensive tackle positions in college and has a great combination of speed, wingspan, strength and field smarts. Scouts compare him to Joe Thomas of the Cleveland Browns. Quality character guy with good quickness for his size. Would provide great depth and
