The Steelers will play one nationally televised preseason game and will host the Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers at Heinz Field during the 2010 preseason, the team announced Wednesday.
The Steelers will open the 2010 preseason at home against the Detroit Lions the weekend of Aug. 13-15. It will be the first time the Lions have visited Heinz Field in the preseason since 2001 when the Steelers hosted Detroit in the stadium's inaugural game.

The Baltimore Ravens recently submitted a schedule request to the NFL that their games against in Steelers in 2009 not be nationally televised games. It has become customary that the Super Bowl champion open up the following NFL season with a prime-time, nationally televised game, but the Ravens want no part of it. Here is a look at the Steelers final four opponents on the 2008 schedule as the Steelers make a run towards the AFC North crown and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
