SI Poll: James Harrison Voted Meanest Player By Fellow Players


According to a recent Sports Illustrated poll of NFL players, Steelers linebacker James Harrison was voted as the meanest player in football. Harrison received 35% of the votes and was the easy winner over Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, who finished second with 15% of the vote. Rounding out the top 4 were the Lions Ndamukong Suh and the Raiders Richard Seymour. The poll results were based on 287 NFL players who responded to the SI survey and reportedly 68 players were voted for at least once. The linebacker position lead the way with 13 receiving votes. The Steelers & The Passer Rating Differential Stat

If you missed the recent article by Kerry J. Byrne of Cold Hard Football Facts on Sports Illustrated this week, you missed a great article on the passer rating differential stat. Basically, the stat subtracts an opponents passer rating from its own passer rating to get the differential of the two. While I admit that the passer rating stat is overrated to a degree, the differential stat, that uses passer ratings, certainly does pass the mustard in regards to winning as Byrne easily points out.
