Good news on the legal front as prosecutors dropped marijuana possession charges against wide receiver Santonio Holmes this morning after deciding there was not probable cause for the traffic stop that led to the charges. Hopefully Holmes will use this as a learning lesson and move on to both superstar and role model status for the youth of the world.

It is official, Patsies quarterback Tom Brady can not walk on water. Brady flipped his rented kayak and had to be fished out of the Charles River. It is rumored Brady blamed the flip on Gisele, the Charles River and his offensive line.

As the Brett Favre saga continues... They say Ben is a drama queen? Give me a break. Brett Favre is the queen of drama queens. Sure Favre will sign with the Vikings and the Vikings will just miss the playoffs. I am tired of hearing about it.

Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes has been fined $10,000 for using the ball as a prop, a NFL league source said on Wednesday. Holmes impersonated LeBron James and tossed the football in the air the way the basketball player does chalk dust after scoring the game winning touchdown in Super Bowl 43. Holmes did not receive a 15-yard personal foul penalty but the league admitted it was reviewed the wide receiver’s actions and decided that Holmes had violated the rule for using the ball as a prop. probably the best money Holmes will ever spend.

Steelers Super Bowl MVP wide receiver Santonio Holmes was a guest Wednesday on "Live With Regis and Kelly" and re-enacted the winning touchdown catch that won Super Bowl 43. Holmes also made surprising revelations about his health during the championship game, but officials at Steelers headquarters said Holmes was just joking. Holmes claimed he played the Super Bowl with a broken rib and two dislocated ribs a jab at quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Lost in the excitement of the interception by linebacker James Harrison for a touchdown as the first half expired in Super Bowl 43 is the fact that the Steelers would have had one more play. If Harrison would have been ruled down at the half foot line, the Steelers would of been allowed one more play because of the personal foul facemask penalty on Cardinals tackle Elton Brown, before the turnover occurred. The Steelers would have been given the ball half the distance from the spot of the tackle and given one more play even with the clock being expired in the half. VP of Officiating, Mike Pereira, explained this on Tuesday on the NFL Network. The play was properly ruled by instant replay review as Harrison was never down after falling on the Cardinal player going into the endone.

Thousands of Steelers fans lined the streets of downtown Pittsburgh Tuesday, to watch the victory parade for the six-time Super Bowl champions. Below is a link to the video coverage of the parade.

Video of the Super Bowl 43 Vince Lombardi Trophy presentation to Dan Rooney made by Joe Namath, Commissioner Roger Goodell and NBC reporter Dan Patrick. Patrick interviews, head coach Mike Tomlin, MVP wide receiver Santonio Holmes and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor had a fantastic 45 minutes of football on Super Bowl Sunday versus the Arizona Cardinals. The only problem is that Taylor came up 15 minutes short. Taylor blanketed Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald in the first three quarters of football, holding him to just one catch for 12 yards. What happened after that almost cost the Steelers their sixth NFL championship. Fitzgerald, a former University of Pittsburgh star, added 6 catches for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns all in the fourth quarter against Taylor. Fitzgerald's first touchdown came on a fade pattern to the right corner of end in which Taylor never turned to find the ball. On that drive Fitzgerald had five big receptions. The second touchdown was a inside slant route in front of Taylor from the Cardinals 36 yard line. Fitzgerald caught the pass at the 43, broke Taylor's attempt at a tackle, and took it 64 yards down the middle for a touchdown. To make matters worse, Taylor had an unnecessary roughness penalty that could have been costly in the fourth quarter.

If Taylor is to remain a Steeler, he needs to understand that it is about the team and not him. He also needs to be able to put together a multiple complete games, not just partial games. The game is 60 minutes long and you can pat yourself on the back after the game, but not before them.
