Good news on the legal front as prosecutors dropped marijuana possession charges against wide receiver Santonio Holmes this morning after deciding there was not probable cause for the traffic stop that led to the charges. Hopefully Holmes will use this as a learning lesson and move on to both superstar and role model status for the youth of the world. The Steelers received their Super Bowl rings on Tuesday. Steelers.com has excellent pictures of the ring design. The Steelers did not practice on Tuesday as scheduled, but instead went bowling. No word if Big Ben fell down again. Steelers Had One More Play If Harrison Had Been Ruled Down

Lost in the excitement of the interception by linebacker James Harrison for a touchdown as the first half expired in Super Bowl 43 is the fact that the Steelers would have had one more play. If Harrison would have been ruled down at the half foot line, the Steelers would of been allowed one more play because of the personal foul facemask penalty on Cardinals tackle Elton Brown, before the turnover occurred. The Steelers would have been given the ball half the distance from the spot of the tackle and given one more play even with the clock being expired in the half. VP of Officiating, Mike Pereira, Read more [...]

There Is No Ike In Team

Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor had a fantastic 45 minutes of football on Super Bowl Sunday versus the Arizona Cardinals. The only problem is that Taylor came up 15 minutes short. Taylor blanketed Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald in the first three quarters of football, holding him to just one catch for 12 yards. What happened after that almost cost the Steelers their sixth NFL championship. Fitzgerald, a former University of Pittsburgh star, added 6 catches for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns all in the fourth quarter against Taylor. Fitzgerald’s first touchdown came on a fade pattern to the Read more [...]
