Steelers Ravens Week 4 Friday Practice Injury Report

The Steelers wrapped up practice preparation on Friday for the week 4 game on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. Not practicing once again were NT Chris Hoke (knee), G Trai Essex (ankle) and QB Dennis Dixon (knee) and all were ruled out on Friday on the injury report. Doug Legursky will make his second straight start at right guard in place of Essex and in all likelihood, Steve McLendon will be elevated from the practice squad to back up Casey Hampton at nose tackle with Hoke being out. Speculation remains that Dixon could be placed on IR to make room for McLendon if indeed he is will be signed to the active roster for Sunday.

For the Ravens on Friday, RB Ray Rice (knee) worked again on Friday and is listed as questionable, but should play Sunday baring a setback. T Jared Gaither (back), DE Cory Redding (concussion), WR Donte\’ Stallworth (foot) and LB Tavares Gooden (shoulder) all sat out Friday, with Gaither, Gooden and Stallworth being listed as out, while Redding is questionable. LB Edgar Jones (thigh) and OL Tony Moll (hip) are also questionable on the injury report. CB Chris Carr (thigh), LB Jarret Johnson (back), TE Todd Heap (shoulder), C Matt Birk (back) and G Chris Chester (back) are all listed as probable.
