Legursky & Foster To Battle For RG Spot – Aaron Smith Starter At LDE?

DVE reporter Mike Prisuta reported via Twitter this morning that offensive linemen Doug Legursky and Ramon Foster will battle during training camp for the starting right guard spot according to Steelers offensive line coach Sean Kugler. Foster ended the season as the starting right guard after Trai Essex and Legursky both made starts there early last season.

Prisuta also reports that defensive end Aaron Smith said he is healthy and that he\’ll assume a back up role if that\’s what Steelers want him to do, without issue. Prisuta added that Smith will open camp as the starting left defensive end. That means that Ziggy Hood will open as his back-up initially.

Limas Sweed also met the media Friday morning and says says he is 110 percent physically and mentally and that it is the first time in a long time he has a clear mind. When asked about the Steelers need for a tall receiver, Sweed said that he is that guy.

Troy Polamalu was quoted as saying he is getting closer to 100 percent when asked about his health this morning.
