Hines Ward Says He Will Play Versus Ravens & Wouldn’t Miss It For The World

It did not take Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward long to respond to to Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs calling him out during his conference call today. Suggs told the media this afternoon, “You tell 86 I hope he plays. I\’d be really disappointed if 86 doesn\’t play.”

Following the afternoon call the media passed on the comments to Ward and Scott Brown reports that Ward said, “I’ll be out there. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Ward missed the game last week against the Patriots due to an ankle injury he suffered against the Cardinals back in week 7.

As many know by now, Ward has a long history with the Ravens and it was highlighted during the 2007 season when he hit, then Ravens linebacker Bart Scott and free safety Ed Reed so hard with blocks that Scott threatened to “kill” him. The next season, Suggs was quoted on a national radio show and said the Ravens had a bounty out on Ward and running back Rashard Mendenhall.
