Steelers Bring Cornerbacks Steven Nelson, Darryl Roberts, Bryce Callahan In For Pre-Draft Visits

The Pittsburgh Steelers will need to wrap up their pre-draft visits this week and on Monday the team brought in a trio of cornerbacks, according to Bob Labriola of Steelers Digest.

The Monday list is headlined by Oregon State cornerback Steven Nelson, who is one of my favorite mid-round prospects. While he’s just a tad under-sized, Nelson showed over the course of the last two seasons that he could go toe-to-toe with some of the top wide receivers in the country. He’s also a very physical player who is not afraid to help out against the run.

Also visiting Monday were Marshall cornerback Darryl Roberts and Rice cornerback Bryce Callahan. Robert is an excellent later-round prospect and it’s been rumored for the last few weeks that the Steelers were interested in him.

The Steelers have now brought in six cornerbacks for pre-draft visits so far as Marcus Peters, Alex Carter and Senquez Golson have already been to Pittsburgh to visit with the organization.
