Steelers Extend Contract Of GM Kevin Colbert

The Pittsburgh Steelers are reporting to training camp in Latrobe on Saturday and the organization has just announced that general manager Kevin Colbert has had his contract extended.

Colbert, who joined the the Steelers front office in 2000, is now under contract through the 2018 NFL Draft.

Two days ago, head coach Mike Tomlin also had his contract extended through the 2018 season.

“I am happy to announce that we have extended Kevin Colbert’s contract for two additional years,” said Steelers’ President Art Rooney II, per steelers.com. “Kevin’s work and footprint on our football operations have been a key factor in our success. We are excited Kevin will continue to lead our personnel department for at least the next three years.”
