Steelers Six From Around The Web – Wednesday August 26th

Wide receiver Santonio Holmes (bacK), tackle Jason Capizzi (shoulder), running back Willie Parker (hamstring), fullback Frank Summers, tight end Sean McHugh (knee), quarterback Dennis Dixon (shoulder) and guard Darnell Stapleton (knee) all sat out on Tuesday. McHugh, Dixon and Stapleton have been ruled out for the Saturday night game versus the Buffalo Bills and Summers is iffy. Wide receiver Hines Ward was given the day off.

The chances of rookie tight end David Johnson making the roster are looking better and better. Especially after it was announced on Tuesday that Sean McHugh would be undergoing a minor knee surgery.

NFL Network reporter Scott Hanson reports as quarterback Ben Roethlisberger returns to practice on Tuesday after injuring his Achilles\’ tendon las week.

Defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau is a finalist to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as one of two seniors nominees of the Seniors Committee. This was the biggest hurdle for LeBeau as now all he needs is 80 percent of the vote from the Selection Committee and word is he will get it. Finally they get it right. Well overdue.

Attorneys for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger have notified the attorney for the tramp who claims she was sexually assaulted by Roethlisberger that they intend to seek sanctions against him for the “frivolous” lawsuit filed. Got get him, boys!

The Pittsburgh Poodle is on the loose. I am as big of Steeler fan as the next guy, but somehow this is just wrong on so many levels. Funny, but wrong.
