Steelers Six From Around The Web – Friday October 2nd

Running back Willie Parker did not practice again on Friday and rookie running back Isaac Redman said there’s a chance he may be activated if Parker can’t play Sunday. For Redman to be activated from the practice squad, the Steelers will need to release someone. Keep your fingers crossed Redman fans. We will have the full injury practice report up shortly.

Rookie fullback Frank Summers underwent back surgery yesterday. Summers was placed on injured reserve earlier this week.

Ed Bouchette has a piece on rookie wide receiver Mike Wallace who had his coming out game versus the Bengals. Wallace is progressing very fast and his intermediate route running has really improved. He should only get better from here.

Wide receiver Limas Sweed finally addressed the media about his drop on Sunday versus the Bengals. Regardless, Sweed will likely be inactive this week as veteran Shaun McDonald will more than likely be the #4 receiver.

Speaking of Sweed, I found a picture of him on a horse and submitted it Pittsburgh Sports & Mini Ponies. It was chosen as the picture of the day and you can see it here.
