Steelers Six From Around The Web – Thursday April 15th

Antwaan Randle El will be taking part in the McLegends IX at Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Flossmoor, Illinois. The two All-Star basketball games feature high school seniors against area legends.

Ben Roethlisberger has returned to OTA\’s this week, but has yet to get any hugs from the Rooney family which is to be expected. Charles Robinson from Yahoo Sports, believes that the Steelers are intently listening to offers that are coming in as far as a trade goes. I really think these wounds will take time to heal if Ben stays, but sooner or later the Rooneys will need to endorse Big Ben if indeed he is kept as a gesture to the team and to fans.

Terry Bradshaw is still discussing Big Ben as well and has offered to sit down with Roethlisberger. If I am Ben, I lower my ego and take the Blonde Bomber up on his offer. It can\’t hurt.

Steelers punter Dan Sepulveda was a fourth-round pick in 2007 for the Steelers and has shared his draft day memories in the latest Steelers.com segment. The video is here.

Scott Brown blogged about the latest Mike Mayock draft predictions for the Steelers where Mayock suggest the Steelers will go cornerback or offensive line and not wide receiver. Mayock zeroed the Steelers in on 4 players.

It was speculated that the 2010 NFL schedule would be out this week, but instead NFL.com and NFL Network will exclusively reveal the 2010 schedule on Tuesday of next week. NFL.com will unveil team-by-team, week-by-week schedules via a new interactive Web application and a two-hour NFL Network special will answer top 10 questions about the 2010 schedule as well.

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.

I guess it doesn’t hurt to listen to offers – if someone is going to give a “Herschel Walker” type deal that built the Cowboys 1990s dynasty team, it might be worth considering.

IF the Steelers think Sam Bradford is the “real deal” and IF the Rams are willing to give up a lot, it might be tempting to the Steelers.

I personally wouldn’t do it without getting another “franchise” QB. If they think Bradford or maybe Clausen are the real thing…. As I wrote in another post, I’m not looking forward to another 20-30 years of Cliff Stoudt, Mark Malone, Kordell Stewart, etc…
