UPDATED: No New Fracture In Foot Of Ben Roethlisberger

UPDATE: Refuting the report below that Ben Roethlisberger has a broken foot, the Steelers said their starting quarterback re-aggravated an old injury where there is scar tissue last Sunday in Buffalo. In a statement released today by the Steelers, team spokesman Dave Lockett said there is no new fracture in Roethlisberger\’s right foot.

Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has broken the fifth metatarsal bone or the outside metatarsal in his right foot and it is not a sprained foot as first reported. Roethlisberger went through another practice today and has said he fully expects to play against the Ravens in Baltimore this Sunday night. Offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said after practice that Roethlisberger\’s injury should not curtail anything he does on the field in Baltimore and Ben says the he is managing the pain which is a 9 on a 1-10 scale.
