Steelers Polamalu, Harrison and Pouncey Make 2011 Pro Bowl

It was announced just minutes ago that the Steelers have 3 players voted in to the 2011 Pro Bowl. Strong safety Troy Polamalu is the starting strong safety for the AFC and was also the leading defensive player vote getter in the fan voting. Linebacker James Harrison is one of the starting outside linebackers voted in and rookie center Maurkice Pouncey was selected as the backup center to Nick Mangold of the Jets.

This is the six consecutive time Polamalu has been selected to the Pro Bowl and Harrison has made the team every season since becoming a starter for the Steelers in 2007. Pouncey is the first Steelers rookie offensive lineman to make the Pro Bowl since offensive tackle Frank Varrichione in 1956. The Pro Bowl will be played Jan. 30 in Hawaii.
