The Rich Eisen Podcast is moving to television on the NFL Network beginning on Thursday, June 16 at 8 p.m. ET and Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward will be joining the program to talk to host Rich Eisen. Eisen is no stranger to the viewers of the network as he has hosted NFL Total Access for some time now along with the NFL Game Day show on Sunday mornings during the season.
Eisen has hosted his own podcast over the last several month and it has picked up quite a following in the process as it has been downloaded more than one million times since its launch. The weekly podcast will still be available for download on NFL.com and iTunes for those that miss the television airing of the program. “Putting the podcast on television is a natural extension of the show, and will either bring the program to a wider audience to enjoy or offer me a larger platform on which to flame out spectacularly,” said Eisen in the press release issued by the network today.
Ward, who will join Eisen in-studio, is still fresh off of his recent victory on Dancing with the Stars and has since had surgery on his left thumb to repair ligament damage.
