Steelers Six From Around The Web – Friday June 17th – Camp Tomlin Underway Edition

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is playing host to a free two-day camp yesterday and today for boys and girls ages 7-14 at Brashear High School. The camp is funded by the corporate sponsors, who underwrite the entire camp.

Pro Football Focus has the pass blocking efficiency numbers up now for the tight ends and the running backs and I found it surprising that the Ravens Ray Rice and the Vikings Adrian Peterson finished the lowest of the backs with enough snaps to qualify. Rashard Mendenhall did not have enough pass block attempts to qualify, but his numbers equate to a 10.11 using their formula and slotting him between Rice and Peterson.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that some owners, at least two of which are from AFC teams, are resisting the labor deal they\’ve been trying to negotiate with the players.
