Steelers Six From Around The Web – August 25th – Heath The Leader Edition
Ken Laird has the transcription up from the Bruce Arians chat with the media on Wednesday. Arians says David Johnson is indeed the No. 2 tight end and says the race for the 3rd spot is still open. Arians also keeps reminding his receivers not to be selfish this year. Arians also heaps praise on Heath Miller.
Scott Brown writes about Heath this morning and how he continues to quietly lead by example and deflect attention from himself.
Emmanuel Sanders will not play against the Falcons on Saturday and he will likely miss the preseason finale in against the Panthers as well. Sanders does think his left foot will be ready enough for the season opener against the Ravens.
Bryant McFadden met the media on Wednesday and said he hopes his hamstring will be good enough for him to play against the Falcons.
Ed Bouchette has a good write-up on former Steelers cornerback Jack Butler. Butler became one of two Seniors Committee nominees yesterday for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Gary Graves has a piece up on Rashard Mendenhall in the USA Today on how he is moving on from his Super Bowl fumble and comments made about him by James Harrison this offseason.
