Ron Winter Will Referee Steelers Broncos AFC Wild Card Game

Referee Ron Winter and his crew will officiate the AFC Wild Card game Sunday between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Denver Broncos. Winter was an alternate for last year’s AFC Championship game and last worked a playoff game in 2009. Winter is in his 17th year and his 14th as a referee.

Winter\’s crew officiated games for both teams this past season as they worked the Steelers week 6 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Broncos week 10 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

There will be two substitutions on the Winter crew as Rich Hall will be the umpire and Ronald Torbert will be the side judge. Both Hall and Torbert were part of the the crew that worked with referee Ed Hochuli this season.
