    Sorry Wes!

  • Shaver Andrew

with the 24th pick in this years draft Steelers select Nick Perry

  • TrueSteelerForLife

Thanks again for all the coverage Dave, and thank you to your writers. Since I discovered your blog this is really the only place I go for steeler news. Now, let’s talk draft! An outside line backer 24th overall, with 2 all pro’s already entrenched as starters? You crazy!! I’m just joking, I love it. Give me a pass rush that’s there all game and I don’t care who your qb is. The thing is I want the kid from Illinois. Merciless, even though I know I spelled it wrong, is a beast. However with him not being there, I think I disaagree with your pick. Although I don’t know what the steeler board looks like, I’m guessing they have Perry rated as the 3rd best olb and if that’s the case should Fleener not be the pick seeing as how he is the top rated player at his position. I hope that made sence, I hate typing on this phone cause I can’t really scroll up and re-read what I wrote. Anyways, I know Perry’s tape is good but the fact that he wants to be a DE rather then a LB gives me reasons for caution. I guess we will

  • kerror

Uhhh, I think the browns take tannehill, I mean why they trade that one spot up? I’m convinced it can’t be because of trent or justin

Knew DeCastro would fall; what a great pick! He’ll be a week 1 starter and the lines are suddenly looking a lot better.

  • Clintmartin

You guys got to get off of Brandon Brooks he is a 4th round pick.
Coby Fleener didn’t go in the first.
    Bobby Massie 1st round????? WOW
Massie is ranked 44th overall and to boot he is 3rd overall right tackle not left.

  • Dave

Loving the DeCastro pick! I would have been fine with trading up for him if he fell to pick 18 or so. When he was still there at 24, it was like icing on the cake!

This is what makes the draft so fun! If I would have posted a mock yesterday that had Poe going 11th, Bruce Irvin going 15th, Shea McClelin at 19, Weeden going 22, and DeCastro falling all the way to 24, people would have ripped it to shreds.

Also, btw, Zeitler going 27th – he would not have been a big reach at 24 if the draft unfolded a little differently.

I’d be fine with really solidifying the O-line with an OT in round 2, depending on who is still there.

Are you going to continue to troll?

  • Michael Marshall

The #1 “Ranked PURE Guard” in this Year’s Class, & he “fell” into OUR laps! Thanx to GOD!

Now it is time to address the Inside Linebacker position… We are “High” on California “product”, Mychal Kendricks… He “should” be available @ #56… If not WE should continue addressing the Offensive Line by selecting the NEXT Best player available @ Guard OR Tackle. Miami (of Oxford, Ohio) product Brandon Brooks “literally” Bowled them Over @ The Redhawks’ “Pro Day”, when during a “Drive Blocking Drill” ha actually “knocked over” The Steelers Scouting Department Representative… This left an “indelible-mark” on The Steelers…

And if all the Cards “fall into place” AGAIN,WE should be able to Select him @ #56 instead of Kendricks. Kevin Colbert “HAS” a Plan! PROTECTION of OUR Franchise Quarterback Is “Job 1″… Big-Ben has been sacked 135 times over the last Three Seasons, and MORE times than ANY other “Starting Quarterback” since 2007! This fact, combined with OUR “seemingly glaring inability” to Rush the ball, leaves us “clamoring” for a SOLIDIFIED Offensive Line.

Linebackers, BOTH Inside, where we have very little depth, and Outside where James Harrison is “coming toward” the End Of His Career are a DEFINITE “NEED”…

A Safety to “groom” behind Ryan Clark, AND “The NFL’s B=E=S=T Safety”, Troy Polomalu would be a “welcome” Addition as well!

Nose Tackle in OUR “3-4″ Alignment is “CRITICAL”! With Casey Hampton “coming off” January A.C.L. Surgery, and carrying a LARGE Salary-Cap number, as well as being 34 Years of age… NEEDS to be addressed! Michigan Nose tackle Mike Martin is “Targeted” as Hamptons’ REPLACEMENT! He has a “motor” that NEVER “shuts down”…

Nebraska Defensive End also IS “being discussed” @ this time! As Aaron Smith has retired, and Cameron Heyward, last Season’s First Round Selection, has yet to establish his “dominance” @ The Pro Level!

Running Back NEEDS addressed as well, with Oregon “break-away threat” La Michael James, leading the Steelers “Wish List” & Cincinnati University’s Isiah Pead right there with him!

They will “probably” address a Back-up Quarterback “to groom”, as well, DESPITE Re-Signing BOTH Charlie Batch & Byron Leftwich.

AFTER “all” of these “moves” are ADDRESSED, The “UNDRAFTED” Free-Agents WILL consist of DEPTH @ ALL POSITIONS,with the “focus” remaining on The Offensive Line as well as Defensive Line!! But staying true to his word, Kevin Colbert will Draft “The BEST Player AVAILABLE Regardless of Position”…

    Respectfully Submitted,

    Sorry LMAO

I hope you don’t “air quote” like you “type” or you are a “douche bag”
