Steelers NT Casey Hampton Recently Had Left Elbow Fixed

According to both Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and Tim Benz of 105.9 The X, Pittsburgh Steelers nose tackle Casey Hampton recently had his left elbow “fixed”. Hampton is currently wearing a cast of some sorts and still expects to be ready for the season opener against the Denver Broncos.

The veteran nose tackle reportedly wouldn\’t say what kind of procedure he had performed on the elbow. The good news that he offered up is that he said that his surgically repaired knee is fine.

Hampton was removed from the Steelers Active PUP list this past Friday and it is now looking like he will not play in either of the two remaining preseason games prior to the regular season starting.

The Steelers former first round draft pick is in the final year of his contract with the Steelers and agreed to a pay cut earlier this offseason to remain in Pittsburgh this season.
