Season 3, Episode 68 of The Terrible Podcast is up and with co-host David Todd still on vacation in New York City I am joined by Scott Brown of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. After 6 years of covering the Pittsburgh Steelers for the Trib, Scott now covers the Penn State Nittany Lions for the paper and we first talk about the transition from one beat to another.
Just because Scott now covers PSU doesn\’t mean that he has lost touch with what is going on with the Steelers so we talk about the 2012 season and what went wrong. We talk about leadership in the lockerroom as well as quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and his ability to work the media among several other topics related to the team.
Scott also fills us in on the PSU players that hope to be selected in the 2013 draft and whether or not any of them would be players that would fit with the Steelers.
In the final segment of the podcast Scott tells us about his new book, “Heaven Sent: The Heather Miller Story“. Scott takes us through the battle with cancer that little Heather and her family went through and how close several Steelers players became with Heather prior to her passing in January of 2010. This is an emotional, yet uplifting story that would make a great offseason read for any Steelers fan.
David and I will be back with our next episode on Tuesday.
