Report: Steelers Rookie LB Jarvis Jones Limited By Hamstring Injury Again On Wednesday

The Pittsburgh Steelers second practice of the first OTA session of the 2013 season has ended and rookie linebacker Jarvis Jones apparently was limited once again with hamstring injury, according to Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review on Twitter.

Kaboly reports that Jones didn\’t fully participate in the Wednesday session and that the Georgia product said following practice that he originally tweaked his hamstring during his Pro Day workout back in March while running his forty-yard dash and that he aggravated it again at rookie camp a few weeks ago.

At least we know for sure that it is a hamstring problem with Jones and nothing more. With that being said, hamstring injuries can linger, so it will not be surprising to hear Jones being limited over the course of the next several OTA practices.

Hopefully Jones can overcome this injury by the time the mandatory mini camp rolls around in mid June and be fully healthy by the time training camp begins in late July.

Here we go again with the damn injuries smh.

  • On a positive note, Woodley looks like he is in VERY good shape. Looked at pics on Steeler site and a lot of the vets look mean and lean!

Actually I noticed that too.. he looks to be in pretty good shape

Woodley is back. No HAS worries. Jones can stay away until training camp and get healthy

He may be limited, but he’s still working.. just watched an interview after session and he was sweating pretty good…. that’s encouraging

I saw Sean Spence in the background of one of the photos, haha! Nice to see him near the team, off to the side at least.

  • Exactly and I was straining my eyes looking at the pic to see if he had any crutches but it did not appear so..very good to see!

  • Saw that too Steeltown, he certainly looked like he just sprinted a mile and was trying to catch his breath.
