Steelers Waived TE Zack Pianalto From Reserve/Injured List On Tuesday

The Pittsburgh Steelers made one transaction on Tuesday as tight end Zack Pianalto was waived from the Reserve/Injured list after fully recovering from what is believed to be a calf injury suffered during the second week of OTA practices.

Pianalto was originally waived injured back on June 3, and he reverted to the Steelers injured reserve list after clearing waivers. He was originally signed to a futures contract by the Steelers back on January 11.

Now that Pianalto has been waived from the Steelers injured reserve list that leaves cornerback Justin King as the only player currently on injured reserve. King reportedly suffered an injury to one of his hamstrings, and it is unclear if he\’ll be healthy enough to be released by the start of the 2013 season.

No surprise here… funny, this guy is known for being oft-injured and I knew this would happen eventually, I just didn’t think it would happen BEFORE training camp even got underway. This guy needs to pick a different profession. Hope he finished college

This is the reason players need to get that degree. The average player in the NFL last a few years and if they got that paper it will pick up after their playing days are over. Millions are made playing ball and if that money is put away they can live the rest of their lives comfortably. The trouble is NOT many sock money away and spend it as quick as they get it.
