Ravens TE Dennis Pitta Carted Off Practice Field On Saturday

The Baltimore Ravens may have suffered a big loss during their Saturday training camp practice as their official team website is reporting via Twitter that tight end Dennis Pitta has been carted off the field during practice after colliding with safety James Ihedigbo on a jump ball in the back of the end zone.

The nature of Pitta\’s injury is unknown at this time, but he apparently had a towel over his head while being carted off and that\’s not normally a good sign.

Pitta had a career-high 61 catches for 669 yards and seven touchdowns last year for the Ravens, so it goes without saying that losing him for any amount of time, let alone for the year, would be devastating blow.

In his four games played against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pitta has nine catches for 155 yards.

We will update you on the status of Pitta once more is known about his injury and the severity of it. You hate to see any player go down like this.
