Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger Says It Feels Like He Has A Brand-New Knee

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was in London, England on Tuesday in an effort to promote the 2013 game at Wembley Stadium against the Minnesota Vikings, and he took time out during the day to do an interview with Sports News Television.

When asked about the surgical procedure that he had performed on his knee during the Steelers mandatory mini camp, Roethlisberger let it be known that his rehab is going just fine.

“It feels great; it feels better than ever,” said Roethlisberger. “I feel like it\’s a brand-new knee, and I feel younger than ever.”

That certainly is good news as it appears that Roethlisberger is still on course to be ready for the start of training camp later this month as it was originally suggested following him having his knee scoped.

Roethlisberger was also asked during the interview to give his thoughts on the team having to play in London this season, and he said that while they really don\’t know what to expect right now, they intend on being ready to play nonetheless.

“I\’ll get to talk to the guys when I get back,” said Roethlisberger. “It\’s really just a level of uncertainty. Guys are excited about coming over, because it\’s a new place to play. Obviously, we know how long of a trip it is and getting here late in the week, and the most important thing is that we call it a business trip. We\’re here to play the game and win the game.”

Roethlisberger was also asked about the Baltimore Ravens winning the Super Bowl last year, and of course he gave an answer that we would all expect him to give.

“Well, any time that we don\’t win the Super Bowl it motivates you, but especially someone in the division,” said Roethlisberger. “The Steeler-Baltimore rivalry is one of the best in all of sports, so for them to win it kind of motivates us to want to come out this year and be as good as we can be.”
