Steelers Versus Giants – Pass Distances Of Roethlisberger & Gradkowski

The short passing game of the Pittsburgh Steelers was once again on display Saturday night in the preseason opener against the New York Giants as both Ben Roethlisberger and Bruce Gradkowski combined to go 10-of-19 passing for 71 yards.

I have charted their passes below and you can see that the longest completed pass thrown past the line of scrimmage traveled 8 yards. The two quarterbacks did, however, combine to throw three passes 20 yards or more down the field, but none of those three were completed.

7 of the 19 passes went to backs, while two more went to tight end David Paulson.
