Vikings To Start Two Inexperienced Defensive Backs Against Steelers

The Minnesota Vikings will be without two starters in their secondary Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers and that figures to bode well for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and his wide receivers as a result.

With cornerback Chris Cook and safety Jamarca Sanford both inactive for the game, Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports that cornerback Marcus Sherels and safety Andrew Sendejo will start today.

Sherels, who has played all of 66 snaps so far this season, was targeted 18 times last week in the Vikings loss to the Cleveland Browns and allowed nine catches for 50 yards.

Sendejo has only played 24 snaps so far this season, all of which came last week against the Browns.

Should the Steelers be able to get their running game on track early, expect Roethlisberger to attack Sherels quite a bit and it could result in another big game for wide receiver Antonio Brown.

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.

Hope ben dont make them look good

Yes I agree, Brown could be in line for another monster game if we can get our running game going! With Bell seeing some action I don’t see why it shouldn’t.

This was their best shot to win a game…”Turn out the Lights the party’s over”
Adams and Gilbert are garbage and the rest are average. need to rebuild the o-line ASAP..There has to be a decent FA thats not on a team right now..what can it hurt to TRY..

Mike Adams is pathetic. Jared Allen is doing nothing special. Put your god damn hands on him and push him outside or to the ground!!!! It’s as if he’s scared to touch him. He’s an embarrassment and danger to Bens health.

I guess Ben isn’t really sold on Bell. He won’t dump they ball off in the flats to him. He stands right there in the pocket like no one is trying to tackle Him. lol

They force a fumble and it goes for an 11 yard game for the Vikes. Crazy.

Allen was licking his chops going into this game and on offense my biggest concern!
