Steelers Dign DL Al Lapuaho To A Futures Contract

There Pittsburgh Steelers have added yet another player to their offseason roster as defensive lineman Al Lapuaho was signed to a reserve/futures contract on Thursday.

Lapuaho was originally signed in 2013 as an undrafted free agent out of Utah State by the St. Louis Rams, but was waived prior to the start of the season. During the regular season, Lapuaho had a few brief stays on the Miami Dolphins practice squad

During his two years at Utah State, Lapuaho played in all 26 games and finished his career with 66 total tackles (16-solo, 50-assists), including 7.0 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks to go along with two career forced fumbles.

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.

Ha! Love this guys name.. a DE prospect im assuming based on his size, supposedly pretty athletic and strong (33reps on bench press at his pro day)

It would be kind of odd to have Wisenhunt with the browns. He took every steelers castoff availalbe. Would he do the same in the division?

I think it would be a good hire for the browns, he is good at fixing QBs, and that may be the only area they lack.

I just hope he doesn’t take any snaps away from Arnfelt and Williams! I wanna se what those two got!

Being that Hood, Keisel and Woods are all FAs im glad we have a number of young strong athletic DL prospects, makes for greater competition

The signing makes sense! I’m just going by the fact that Williams is pretty sick on Madden 25(for a 7th rounder!), and I wanna see him do it in real life! I get scared when there’s too many camp bodies. But planning for a few departures on the DL is smart.

He better be a NT or NT in waiting; their problems are stopping the run in the middle, which is why Louis Nix should get consideration at #15 in the First.

  • Lucus Rodriguez

They were solid against the run up the middle. I think too in the league

  • Patrick Reid

    Agreed 100%. Love Nix!
