Terry Bradshaw To Miss Super Bowl Broadcast Due To The Death Of His Father

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and current Fox Sports analyst Terry Bradshaw will not take part in the Super Bowl broadcast on Sunday due to the recent passing of his father.

Bradshaw, who will be replaced on the broadcast by Michael Strahan, is back in Louisiana with his family. His father, William Bradshaw passed away at the age of 86 on Thursday after a long illness.

Bradshaw normally is the one to present the Lombardi Trophy to the winning Super Bowl team after the game and that honor will now go to Strahan this year.

Fox released a statement on the passing of Bradshaw’s father via its official Twitter account.

Wow, even if his dad seemed to have lived a long life, it is a huge blow to him the day of his biggest assignment of the next 3 year TV cycle.

How blessed are we as Steelers fans to label a player as the “1st multiple winning Super Bowl quarterback”

I know! I thought that while I was typing! Made me sad to come to grips with it being the tail end of Bens career! Seems like only yesterday that he came in for Maddox and started throwing lasers all over the place! Here’s to 3 multiple winning QBs!
