Report: Patriots Free Agent RB LeGarrette Blount Moves Back Steelers Visit To Friday

New England Patriots free agent running back LeGarrette Blount was slated to meet with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the next few days, but now that visit won’t take place until Friday, according to the National Football Post.

With the NFL owners meetings taking place next week in Orlando, Fla., Blount would have been unable to meet with Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert and head coach Mike Tomlin and that is apparently why the visit was rescheduled.

Blount, who was acquired by the Patriots in a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last April, rushed for 772 yards and 7 touchdowns on 153 carries last season.

In addition to drawing interest from the Steelers this offseason, the Baltimore Ravens are also reportedly keeping close tabs on him as well.

Well if the Ravens pick him up they will have quite the sucker punching tandem in their backfield. Him and Sweet Baby Ray can exchange techniques.

cant see why he would sign in Baltimore with Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce in front of him…he can’t wanna be number 3 on the depth chart

Friday huh sounds like another busy friday with another signing

Seems to be the one day of the work week when Omar Khan is at the Steelers’ facility.

Saturday morning post by Dave. “Blount leaves Pittsburgh without a contract.” It’s gonna be hard to sign any of these rb’s with our cap situation and the players and agents unrealistic $ expectations.
