Don’t you just love Twitter? I know I do, as there isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not entertained by it.
On Friday, that entertainment is being provided by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network and Auburn running back Tre Mason.
The fun started after Rapoport reported that exams at the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine revealed that Mason needs surgery after doctors found a bone in his wrist that hadn’t healed properly and that the running back would miss at the very least miss OTA practices with the team that ultimately drafts him.

According to a several reports, Mason was one of several players that returned to Indianapolis on Friday for a medical re-check.
Mason quickly fired back on Twitter at Rapoport and said the report is false and that he will not be having any kind of surgery at all. He added that he is healthy and accused the media of trying paint a poor picture of him.

Rapoport quickly responded back to Mason and told him teams have been informed differently.
Mason did not miss any games last season, but there were reports that a sprained wrist caused him some discomfort during the season. Based on his workload, that’s not too surprising.
Mason, who many believe will be a day-two section next month, rushed for 1,816 yards and 23 touchdowns on 317 carries last season.
