terriblepodcast

Season 4, Episode 98 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd start this show off by talking about the possibility of the NFL Draft being a four day event starting in 2015. We also discuss whether or not the league will move the draft back to it’s normal spot in April next year.

On Sunday, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown took aim at former safety Ryan Clark with a few comments that he made and Clark of course responded. We discuss if Brown handled this correctly and whether or not he’s ready for more of a leadership role in 2014.

There’s talk that the NFL might add a developmental league in the future, so David and I discuss that possibility along with how it might ultimately be structured and work.

With the draft now less than two weeks away, we focus in on 10 or so prospects the Steelers could select in the first round and also discuss a few shakeups in the updated positional rankings that Mike Mayock of the NFL Network recently released.

Is Steelers tight end Heath Miller close to being done? We discuss his 2013 season.

As usual, a few more talking points are mixed in and discussed during the show that are not mentioned in this recap.

After reading the comments from Antonio Brown and Ryan Clark, I can understand why those from the media feel the way they do. What I don’t agree with is the fact that many times I have heard the media make comments towards individuals in sports like calling them idiots or stupid. The podcast with Dave Te Thomas, he stated about Pierre Desir, that “if you blow in one ear you will feel the wind from the other ear”, or about Martavis Bryant, he wouldn’t be surprised if he had 8 numbers on his chest instead of 2. Once those comments were made nothing about his comments were discussed amongst Dave and Dave. I just feel that if the media expects athletes to take the high road with their comments, the media needs to do the same thing. Wrong is wrong, regardless if you are just spewing the comments out or commenting on those that made the comments. I love the site and the podcast, which I read and listen to daily. I just believe that all parties should be more responsible when commenting on any issue.
