Steelers Vs Ravens Injury Report: Shazier, Spaeth Ruled Out

The Pittsburgh Steelers have released Wednesday’s injury report, officially ruling out four players from Thursday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens: Ben Roethlisberger (MCL), Daniel McCullers (knee), Ryan Shazier (shoulder), and Matt Spaeth (hand).

Cortez Allen (knee) is questionable while James Harrison (thumb) and Cody Wallace (illness) have been ruled probable.

It’ll be the second straight game McCullers and Shazier have been ruled out. Cam Thomas will continue to back up Steve McLendon at nose tackle while Sean Spence will start and play the majority of snaps while filling in for Shazier. Rookie Jesse James figures to get a hat with Spaeth down, but don’t expect him to play much on offense. Will Johnson and Roosevelt Nix will see an uptick in playing time.

Allen is in danger of missing his third consecutive game. If he is unable to go, Ross Cockrell is likely to be the team’s nickel corner.
