Steelers Versus Colts: Week 13 Projected Inactive List

The (6-5) Pittsburgh Steelers will host the (6-5) Indianapolis Colts Sunday night at Heinz Field and as usual, here is my weekly guess at what the seven-player inactive list might look like when it is released 90 minutes before kickoff.

Sean Spence – Spence failed to practice all week because of a hamstring injury and he was ruled out for Sunday night’s game on the Friday injury report. You could probably see this coming as Spence also tweaked his hamstring late in the game prior to the bye week.

Mike Vick – From here on out, Vick should be the No. 3 quarterback as Landry Jones has clearly overtaken the veteran on the teams depth chart. Vick hasn’t played a snap since injuring his hamstring in the second half of the game against the Arizona Cardinals. Expect him to be on this list several more times this season.

Byron Stingily – Even though Stingily has been on the roster several weeks now, he still hasn’t dressed for a game as Chris Hubbard and Doug Legursky have both been getting helmets ahead of him. Barring injuries, the tackle figures to remain on the inactive list moving forward.

L.T. Walton – As long as all of the Steelers other defensive linemen stay healthy, Walton isn’t likely to get a helmet. It’s been several weeks since the rookie draft pick has dressed for a game.

Doran Grant – Even though head coach Mike Tomlin hinted that there could be changes in the secondary this week, I will be surprised if Grant is a legitimate option to be a part of that. Grant has only dressed once since he was promoted from the practice squad and I don’t think there will be enough helmets to go around this week in order for him to get one.

Fitzgerald Toussaint – The Steelers obviously like Toussaint, but that doesn’t mean they’re ready to give him a helmet just yet and especially since he doesn’t appear to be a big contributor on special teams. I fully expect he’ll be down again Sunday night.

Heath Miller – It’s hard to know for sure whether or not Miller will be ready to go Sunday night because of the rib injury he suffered last week. Miller ended the week listed as questionable after being limited on Friday and while he did move in the right direction at the end of the week, I have my doubts about whether or not he plays. I have a feeling he’ll sit this one out.
