2016 NFL Scouting Combine Results

The 2016 NFL Scouting Combine is now underway in Indianapolis and as usual, we will be tracking all of the results in real time for you in the large spreadsheet that you see below. The results for each position group are on different pages of the spreadsheet and you can see the navigation for those at the very bottom of the page.

Also, please notice the header legend below as well and note that the heights and weights that include an asterisk * are the pre-combine measurements listed on nfl.com. As the NFL Network and NFL.com updates those numbers, we will change ours and remove the asterisk *.

As always, please let me know about any errors that you might find so they can be fixed.

  • Jeff White

Might want to check the oakman height??

  • The Notorious TOM

    What’s wrong with it? He’s 6’7

  • PittsburghSports

There’s no asterisks by the TEs, but the heights don’t list any 1/10ths of an inch, so are those not updated yet? Wondering if Austin Hooper is actually 6’4″ or not.

  • rick james

Just wanna say thanks for posting the actual heights instead of just 6’2 or 6’4, I come back multiple times just to check, because nobody else does.

  • Anton Smolka

Jason Spriggs is having a great combine. He might have moved up into 1st round discussions

  • Labrat0116

Can this be downloaded into a Searchable format ?

  • Sdale

Conklin and Ryan Kelly sure didn’t hurt themselves.

  • Thanks for breaking this down. Great Work!

  • PittsburghSports

It would be nice if you could filter it to search fastest, slowest, tallest, etc.

  • Jeff White

    correct, it started at 6’2″

  • Sdale

Take a look at Beau Sandland for a late round flyer. Probably not a Steeler type TE because he hardly ever blocked, but that was scheme related. I’m curious if he could learn to block at this level. I think he’ll be a “move” type TE for a team that uses them. He’s got good size and he’s fast. Transferred to FCS from Miami, but not because of problems.

  • Labrat0116

That’s what I meant by Searchable.

Any Excel geeks out here ?

  • PittsburghSports

You can actually copy it now. I use Google docs.

  • LucasY59

I think he has the size and strength to be an ok pro level blocker (but will need to develop)

  • Anton Smolka

    Disappointed in Noah Spence

  • PittsburghSports

Why on Earth would you say that? Because he timed 4.8 40? He’s looked great in drills. Fluid. Check out his 10 yard split. Who’s quicker? Ogbah and Tapper. That’s it! Who cares how how fast he runs the 40.

  • Eric Brightbill

ya I thought Noah Spence put together a decent day. not sure it was good enough to keep him in 1st rd because of off field stuff but I liked what I saw

  • Spencer Krick

Disappointed Cravens didn’t participate in a bunch of stuff.

  • PittsburghSports

Any way you can make these sortable? Tried copying it to google docs and it’s a mess.

  • SteelersDepot

they will all be made sortable after the combine is over and all results are in

  • SteelersDepot

Ok, I went ahead and put in a second set that are sortable by clicking whatever heading. The top spreadsheet will be removed after all DB results are in Monday afternoon.

  • Anton Smolka

Scouts say he interviewed very poorly. That in itself ruins his stock

  • PittsburghSports

    Nice. thanks.

  • PittsburghSports

    We’re not the droids you’re looking for….

  • mokhkw

DNPs are really p***ing me off. Why are these guys so picky about what drills they do and don’t do? I’m sure its frustrating for everyone to have an event like the Combine & then find some of the participants won’t even do all of the tests.

I think the NFL needs to change this & start making all test & drills mandatory at the Combine unless the player has a medical exemption. Don’t want to run a 3-cone shuttle? Then take the shuttle bus home…..

When I see a player with DNPs when he is in attendance & healthy the impression I get is that he doesn’t love football & I’d question whether to draft him in any round.

  • mokhkw

Likewise. The only thing I could gather from the results is that he’s playing at a weight which is too heavy for him & he needs to lose 15lbs & play Safety.

  • ATL96STEELER

The media can flat out kill a border line kid…when questioned whether he could be trusted, one GM say he wasn’t sure yet….that’s the worst I’ve heard.

If more than one GM left the interview convinced this kid might still be vulnerable off the field that might be enough to push him down into the late teens or maybe even 25…if the choice was there…Jaylon Smith or Noah Spence…I’d probably take Spence.

  • PittsburghSports

lol what are you gonna do fine them for not participating?

  • PittsburghSports

If I could complain about one more thing, for now, is there a way to change the BJ to inches so it sorts in order?

  • TroymanianDevil

It’s the agents that tell them not to do certain drills. The agents know roughly what all the measureables are and compare them against the field. If they are a little weaker the agents push to get a few extra weeks of prep to help their draft stock. And these high powered agents can get some doctor somewhere to sign off on a medical exemption that you suggested. I definitely agree with you though, it’s really annoying but there’s nothing you can really do, the combine is voluntary.

  • mokhkw

Nope, just send them home. No more interviews, nothing. Obviously they can’t be fined or given any punishment by the NFL as they aren’t under contract but the rules of participation could use some tightening up.

Tell me what would be unreasonable about doing that?

  • mokhkw

NFL could appoint their own doctors, everyone gets Medicals done by the Teams so have them all do their medical with the NFL doctors 1st.

Maybe the NFL should introduce short-term contracts for Combine participants.

  • TroymanianDevil

Fair enough. But it’d still be fairly doable to get the result you want, a lot of these guys have some minor injuries and can milk it, to still get the doctor to sign off. Injuries aren’t black and white, they’re gray. It’s a decent idea tho and it might help slightly. I just don’t think it’d get the result you’re looking for.

And contracts and such, that’s a whole slippery slope, you can’t introduce all these restrictions and hoops to jump through. When all the big names just decline (b/c of the agents again) and say I’ll just do all the workouts on my Pro Day instead. Then what? You get a Pro Bowl type situation in terms of talent. Only those late round picks kind of talent shows up, to get some attention. The NFL would rather have them there and skip certain workouts than not show up at all.

Remember, these are all just glorified workouts. The NFL has regional combines, do you even pay attention to those?
I get your frustration for sure and I’m with you on that. I wanted to see all of Hunter Henry’s measureables but he chose not to do everything. Oh well, I’ll just have to wait til his Pro Day ( if he does them then).

  • PittsburghSports

Keanu Neal had 17 reps on the bench, not 4.64
