  • T R

Dave, i love when you do these trackers… saves me staring at twitter all day. .now i can lay on the couch and let u do all the work. 🙂

  • CP72

Did we bring Desir in for a pre-draft visit? I remember he had some buzz in the draft process.

  • T R

now we gotta figure out teams with good defense already will dump good CBs , like panthers, cardinals, seahawks, bills, jets, vikings, rams and the bengals and browns (who just pick a bunch of folks they got to many to choose from”

  • Michael Mosgrove

we did. he left without an offer.

  • Dorian James

Dave the Eagles are shopping Eric Rowe, should the Steelers bite?

  • Michael Mosgrove

id be okay with that. provided it doesnt push one of our edge guys out.

  • Michael Mosgrove

bills are cutting velasco? we could get him back and get rid of wallace!

  • Dorian James

Aren’t the Eagles hurting at middle linebacker ?

  • SkoolHouseRoxx

It’s like the Bucs and Titans already cut all the players they needed to! No time to waste!

  • Michael Mosgrove

they can have steven johnson, shamarko thomas and chris hubbard,

  • SkoolHouseRoxx

I was kinda thinking about that!

  • Michael Mosgrove

    if only.

  • Michael Mosgrove

theres only 2 people from th browns i would have wanted. joe thomas and tashaun gipson. thomas is still with the brownies and gipson is on jax now.

  • Reg Sayhitodabadguy Hunt

I’m the only one that noticed the chargers having two CBS named Larry Scott and they both got cut (lol I know it’s a typo )

  • falconsaftey43

I live in Philly so fet lots of Eagles coversge. I dont think Rowe can be an NFL CB, I think he has to move to safety.

  • Sweetdick Willie

Ian Seau was cut twice by Los Angeles and San Diego? Is there 2 guys with the same name and are they related to Junior Seau?

  • Steel PAul

I see CB Pierre Desir got cut. Weren’t the Steelers interested in him??

  • falconsaftey43

    No, and yes

  • CP72

He and Sean Davis are physical clones.

  • SkoolHouseRoxx

Pretty much, and I’m good with Davis these last couple of games!

  • CP72

He’s probably grown on me as much as anyone this preseason. He’s got some nasty to him.

  • falconsaftey43

Yeah they are really similar physically. Rowe has just looked lost at CB in preseason.

  • SkoolHouseRoxx

Yeah that hit on the Carolina TE the other night got me feelin’good!

  • CP72

Who’s the surprise cut of the Steelers today?

    I’m gonna say Shamarko….remember I said surprise.

  • Dorian James

    Oh, thanks for the input.

  • falconsaftey43

Shamarko is a good bet. Jarvis possible. Only ones I see as remotely possible.

  • Steelers12

i was about to ask same question

  • falconsaftey43

Id like Zack Sanchez as a slot CB

  • Steelers12

just for the sake of the question I would say Thomas as well but i think he makes it

  • Steelers12

He did a good job when he was with us

  • Steelers12

    lol u really dislike Thomas

  • Steelers12

so you think rowe to slow to play CB

  • Steelers12

    Desir?

  • Steelers12

    why was he cut?

  • Steelers12

Maybe Lions surprise us and cut Alex Carter, although he only plays outside

  • SkoolHouseRoxx

I think Fort would be a surprise cut, just because he’s played really good.

  • falconsaftey43

More too stiff. Allows lots of separation. Supposidly havign issies taking to coaching as well

  • falconsaftey43

Idk, they drafted 3 CBs I think.

  • SteelersDepot

    Logan Paulsen

  • Michael Mosgrove

    true statement.
i have been a steelers fan for 25 years. and for everyone on the roster whos is vying for a 53 spot those 3 need to go. theyy havent shown much over the last few year or over camps. obviously im a little bit softer on steven johnson because hes new acquisition but i still dont like him.
i also dont think much of todd haley. he might be a decent coach but outside of football he’s a piece of trash.

  • Steelers12

can you elaborate on Todd Haley more if u don’t mind

  • Steelers12

    is he a ball hawk?

  • Michael Mosgrove

1.todd haley was sued because he trashed a house he was staying in.
2.he was he reneged on a contract with a builder to make a house after the builder put forth money into starting the build with his team.
    3. he was fired from kansas city because the players and front office didnt like his behavior off the field. the players didnt respect him and stopped listening to him because they tuned off his yelling.
    4. he was sued for kicking his neighbors dog when it came on his property.
    5. he screamed and cursed out one of his housekeepers, then refused to pay her because after a wild party at his house she was less than motivated.
    6. i’ve met him twice. once when i went to men’s camp in 2014 and when i went to men’s camp in 2015. he was a dick both times.
    7. having gone to all the open practices of training camp last year and this year(apart from the last two) if there is one guy you can hear on the field its haley yelling….also john mitchell. but thats a diff story.

  • falconsaftey43

Yeah smaller guy with good ball skills and is physical.

  • The GreekGeek

BW Webb is available! We’re saved!

  • Steelers12

wow thanks for the info, i never met the guy but he does have a vibe about him like he an arrogant ahole. my father and I always jokes that Haley and Erik Spoelstra looks high all the time.

  • Beaver Falls Hosiery

Did Skins let him go? I’d love to get him picked up but Ravens will probably poach him.

  • LucasY59

Haha, twins with the same name, to make it less confusing… jk

  • LucasY59

So did Wallace for the most part, he seems to have declined since last yr, but Velasco is just as old (if not older) and is probably about the same, Fernando has bounced around 2 or 3 teams since he was with the Steelers, and Wallace was brought in because FV was injured, I consider them about equal

  • Steelers12

yeah, i was not saying cut wallace i was just saying Velasco was a decent player in the Burgh

  • LucasY59

I see a lot of cuts of guys other teams are (most likely) trying to slip players to the PS (like the Steelers might do with Matakevich) Ioaniddis (wash) Reed (tenn) Holmes (jax) Peko (den) Seau (la or sd?) Sanchez (car)

Every PS guy has to be cut, so every team had to cut someone they still want on their team

  • LucasY59

    Yep, op mentioned cutting Wallace

  • blackandgoldBullion

As predicted, many familiar names from the past couple of years are getting. It right now. Let’s hope the Steelers did their homework and are ready to pounce on someone. CB most importantly, but perhaps TE and even OL. DE would have to be someone tremendously promising.

    Interesting.

  • Caesar

Hmm, Logan Paulsen. Decent vet, solid blocker I think. Might be an interesting name if he is healthy.

  • Petherson Silveira

Logan Paulsen, Charles Gaines,Juwan Thompson, Bishop Sankey, Henry Melton, Josh Evans.

  • The Notorious TOM

    Stop.

  • Milliken Steeler

Due to our injuries and quality gepth in some areas, I would at least kick the tires on

    1) TE Tony Moeaki (if healthy)
    2) CB Desir
    3) WR Kenny Bell (put him on the practice squad)
    4) DT Louis Nix (if he is healthy)
    5) S Jimmy Wilson (Practice squad, if you like what you see when he works out)
    6) C Velasco

Just my own people of interest guys, calm down. lol

  • I wonder why the Skins tried to make DL Matt Ioannidis into a nose tackle? I thought the pre-draft scouting reports had him pegged as a 5-technique…but maybe I’m getting him confused with someone else. If memory serves, he impressed at the Senior Bowl.

I remember being interested in the following CBs during their respective drafts, anything here? Perre Desir, Charles Gaines, Terrance Mitchell, Rashard Renolds…I especially liked R Renolds cover skills.

  • Jj Townsend

Eric Tomlinson TE Houston cut is a good run blocker. Eagles are shopping Eric Rowe CB.

  • LucasY59

    Ratbirds cut Justin Forsett?

  • tcirish53@gmail.com

I notice Louis Nix got cut by the Giants. He was somebody that was mocked to us a lot several years ago. I have lost touch with him since he turned pro but I wonder if he might help us address the DL loss of Cam Heyward.
