Early word out of the Steelers facility is that test have confirmed that Steelers starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has a bruised AC joint in his right shoulder. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has yet to confirm this, but more should be released on Wednesday after practice and Roethlisberger will likely sit out most of the week and be listed as questionable on the Friday injury report. All of that news aside, I think Roethlisberger will likely be held out against Indianapolis as a precautionary measure.

Steelers RB Willie Parker may not play on Sunday against the New York Giants. Parker, who hasn’t suited up since injuring his left knee in the loss to Philadelphia, was very limited at what he could do at practice on Thursday. It appears more and more likely that RB Mewelde More will make his third straight start at running back for the Steelers. After practice the Thursday practice session, Parker refused to speak to reporters. Parker did practice Wednesday, but apparently suffered another setback because he hardly practiced Thursday.
