The Cincinnati Bengals are preparing to play the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field on Sunday and their first injury report of the week is now out.
Not practicing on Wednesday was defensive end Carlos Dunlap (illness), who sat out sick. Dunlap has 33 combined tackles on the season with 4.5 sacks and 4 forced fumbles to his credit. He is expected to be ready by Sunday.
Limited on Wednesday were kicker Mike Nugent (right calf), running back Cedric Peerman (ankle), and tackle Andrew Whitworth (head). Nugent has missed the last two games and the speculation is that he will sit out again on Sunday. Read more [...]

The Pittsburgh Steelers were back on the field Wednesday as they prepare to host the Cincinnati Bengals in a must-win game on Sunday at Heinz Field and the first injury report of the week is now out.
Not practicing on Wednesday were defensive end Cameron Heyward (not injury related), safety Troy Polamalu (not injury related), defensive end Al Woods (illness) and of course cornerback Ike Taylor (ankle), who has already been ruled out for the game.

As expected, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Tuesday that guard Willie Colon has been put on injured reserve with a knee injury to make room for running back Rashard Mendenhall, who was reinstated by the team on Monday following his one week suspension for conduct detrimental to the team.
This marks the third season in a row that Colon has been placed on injured reserve. Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media on Tuesday for his weekly press conference to talk about the loss on Sunday to the Dallas Cowboys and the upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
During his press conference Tomlin updated the current injury status of the team heading into this week of practice. Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (rib) suffered a rib injury this past Sunday and Tomlin said that he would be monitored this week and will obviously be limited at the early portion of the week. Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders told Ken Laird of Trib Live Radio after the 27-24 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday that he suffered a cracked rib in the game, but hopes to be ready by next Sunday when the Cincinnati Bengals come to town.
"I’ve just got a cracked rib, said Sanders. "Those things should heal fast, so hopefully I’ll be back next week."

The Pittsburgh Steelers dropped their seventh game of the season Sunday to the Dallas Cowboys and are now in a must-win situation as they head into their final two games of the season against the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have issues in their secondary heading into their game Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, but so too do the Cowboys as starting rookie cornerback Morris Claiborne might be forced to sit out the game after suffering a setback with his concussion that he incurred last Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com reports on Saturday that the Cowboys were still evaluating Claiborne's status for Sunday's game against the Steelers after the rookie had to leave practice on Thursday after suffering some dizziness.

The Dallas Cowboys have put a wraps on their Friday practice as they prepare to host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday and their final injury report of the week is now out.
Defensive tackle Jay Ratliff (groin) is the only player that has been ruled out for the game after he underwent surgery for a sports hernia on Thursday.
Linebacker DeMarcus Ware (elbow) failed to practice for a third consecutive day because of a hyper-extended elbow and he enters the weekend listed as questionable. Ware is expected to play Sunday and wear a brace.

The Pittsburgh Steelers wrapped up their practice preparations on Friday for their Sunday road game against the Dallas Cowboys and the Friday injury report is now out.
Pretty much as expected, cornerback Cortez Allen (groin) did not practice on Friday and he was listed as doubtful as a result. Allen injured his groin last week in the loss to the San Diego Chargers and is expected to be one of the seven inactive players on Sunday. The Thursday injury report for the Dallas Cowboys is now out as they continue to prepare to host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
Defensive tackle Jay Ratliff (groin) underwent surgery for a sports hernia on Thursday in Philadelphia, and will most likely be placed on injured reserve by Sunday. He is out this week regardless.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were back on the practice field on Thursday as they continued their practice preparations for their upcoming Sunday road game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Thursday injury report is now out and it shows that cornerback Cortez Allen (groin) failed to practice for a second consecutive day which puts his availability right now for Sunday in serious question. The mystery as to whether or not Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant will play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers appears to be no more as Ed Werder of ESPN Dallas is reporting on Thursday that Bryant has informed the team that he intends to delay the operation on his fractured left index finger suffered in the Cowboys win last week over the Cincinnati Bengals after meeting with a hand specialist on Wednesday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are once again going to be without the services of cornerback Ike Taylor on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys as he will miss his second consecutive game with a fractured right ankle suffered early in the win against the Baltimore Ravens back in Week 13.
Taylor was asked on Wednesday how the rehab is going.

The first injury report of the week for the Dallas Cowboys is out as the prepare to host the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday.
Wide receiver Dez Bryant (finger) missed practice to get another opinion on his broken left index finger. Currently his status for Sunday is up in the air, but several believe that he will play and put of surgery.

The Pittsburgh Steelers started their practice preparations on Wednesday for their Sunday road game against the Dallas Cowboys and the first injury report is now out.
As expected, cornerback Ike Taylor (ankle), tackle Mike Adams (ankle), and guard Willie Colon (knee) did not practice and all three have already been ruled out for the game. With Colon out, Ramon Foster will shift over to left guard and rookie David DeCastro will make his first career start at right guard.

The status of Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant for the upcoming game against the Pittsburgh Steelers is still up in the air after he fractured his left index finger last week against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on Tuesday that Bryant will be the "ultimate decision-maker" on whether he has season-ending surgery on his finger or tries to play with it heavily padded, which could result in long term damage if not fixed immediately.

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media on Tuesday for his weekly press conference to talk about the loss last Sunday to the San Diego Chargers and the upcoming game this week against the Dallas Cowboys.
Tomlin gave an injury report in the early part of the press conference and said left guard Willie Colon (knee) had surgery on his left knee on Monday and will be out for several weeks. The Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Dallas on Sunday to play the Dallas Cowboys, who now appear like they might be without their star wide receiver Dez Bryant.
David Moore of the Dallas Morning News is reporting Monday afternoon that Bryant injured his left index finger Sunday in the Cowboys win over the Cincinnati Bengals and that injury might require him being shut down for the season. Bryant reportedly is scheduled to visit a hand specialist this week.

Last night Gerry Dulac reported that left guard Willie Colon might be done for the season after suffering a left knee injury during the second quarter of the loss Sunday to the San Diego Chargers and on Wednesday Jory Rand of KDKA-TV reports via Twitter that Colon is having surgery on Monday.
This all adds up to Colon being placed on injured reserve as early as today or Tuesday which will open up a spot on the Steelers 53 man roster.

Pittsburgh Steelers left guard Willie Colon left the game Sunday against the San Diego Chargers with a left knee injury and did not return.
Head coach Mike Tomlin didn't elaborate about the injury during his post game press conference but Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports via Twitter that the Steelers do not expect Colon to play the rest of the season.
Colon sat out the last two games leading up to Sunday with a bruised knee suffered in the loss to the Baltimore Ravens back in week 11 and it has needed draining more than once since that time.
