It has been over a week now since the Pittsburgh Steelers placed second-year tackle Marcus Gilbert on injured reserve with an ankle injury and head coach Mike Tomlin said at that time that surgery was an option. According to Gilbert on Twitter, that surgery has now taken place and his rehab is presumably now underway. Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said after the 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens that starting cornerback Ike Taylor suffered a right lower leg or ankle injury early in the game and that further test would be needed to determine the seriousness of it.
