The Steelers made 6 roster moves on Tuesday to get down to the league mandated 75 roster total. According to reports, free agent guard Chester Pitts will be working out again today or tomorrow for the Steelers. The Steelers had a scout present last Tuesday for the private workout Pitts held in Arizona. Since then, the Steelers signed free agent guard Adrian Jones when they placed tackle Willie Colon on the injured reserve list. Pitts is attempting to come back from arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and last Tuesday was the first time that Pitts had been able to undergo a full workout since the operation. As we just informed you in the last post, the Steelers signed journeyman lineman Adrian Jones to a one year deal on Wednesday to fill a spot on the roster vacated by Willie Colon. I just went back and did some film work and research on Jones and he probably shouldn't get too settled when he arrives at Latrobe for training camp. The Steelers signed six-year veteran Adrian Jones to the active roster on Wednesday and placed tackle Willie Colon on their Reserve/Injured List. Jones (6-4, 330) was originally drafted by the New York Jets in the fourth round (132nd overall) in the 2004 NFL Draft out of Kansas and started 44 games for the Jets from 2004-07 before being waived late in the 2007 season.
