Dale Lolley reports that center Justin Hartwig suffered a broken toe when he dropped an object on his foot. I hope it was not the Super Bowl ring he dropped on it, that would of broken his whole foot. Should be a temporary setback and Hartwig should be fine in a few weeks.
Santonio Holmes talks about the sickle cell disease which both he and his son both have. Safety Ryan Clark also has the sickle-cell trait.

Former Steeler running back Jerome Bettis has begun a summer sports camp for asthmatic children. The camp will be on July 7th and 8th at Duquesne University and is free.
NFL.com did a segment on which teams get the most bang for their buck. Not surprisingly, the Steelers rank in the top five of the league.
Jennifer Allen has a great story on how former head coach, Chuck Noll and the old Steel Curtain had an influence on Tony Dungy. Well worth the read.

The Old Spice Ben Roethlisberger Football Camp will open today for a half-day session with the camp running through Wednesday at Mars Area High School
Steelers running back Carey Davis threw out the first pitch of the State College Spikes Sunday game and also signed autographs for the fans. Davis days still may be numbered in a Steeler uniform.
Steelers.com has posted part 2 of the Ask Ziggy Hood segment. Hood compares himself to Tommie Harris of the Chicago Bears and teammate Aaron Smith.

Ed Bouchette has another story on cornerback William Gay and the pressure put on him to take over the spot left vacant by Bryant McFadden. Gay has been a popular guy in the media this off season.
ESPN blogger, James Walker, takes a look at the AFC North interior defensive lineman. Walker goes on to rank Haloti Ngata over Casey Hampton. I am sure Hampton would rather collect Super Bowl rings though and not blogger awards.

Steelers.com has a health update on long snapper Greg Warren, who is on the road back from a torn ACL suffered last season.
Ed Bouchette reported in his chat on Tuesday that the Steelers are "working hard" on an extension with franchised tackle Max Starks.
