Mark Kaboly and Ed Bouchette both report via Twitter that the Monday incident of undrafted rookie running back John Clay walking off the field was a simple misunderstanding by Clay. Reportedly running backs coach Kirby Wilson told Clay to leave after making a mistake and Clay thought he meant go to locker room. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin announced today in his weekly press conference that rookie 6th round draft pick running back Jonathan Dwyer is doubtful to play Saturday night versus the Giants with a shoulder injury he suffered against Detroit last week. Dwyer has not participated in the hitting portions of practice this week and continues to miss valuable practice time in the process. Steelers safety Troy Polamalu gave a great interview to Tom Robinson of the Virginian-Pilot while he was in town for the William and Mary football camp. Polamalu said, owners would be selfish to lock out players for the 2011 season saying, "America needs football. The Las Vegas Review-Journal has a story on Frank Summers who is recovered from back surgery and looking to make up lost time from his rookie season.
