A 21st undrafted free agent player was signed by the Steelers this morning as Northwestern defensive lineman Corbin Bryant was signed. The Steelers had some interest in Bryant prior to the draft as he reportedly was one of the 30 players they had in for a pre draft visit.
The 6-foot-4, 298-pound Bryant ran the 40-yard dash in 5.02 seconds at his Pro Day workout bench pressed 225 pounds 31 times as 28 NFL teams attended the workout. He also ran a 4.55 short shuttle, a 7.34 three-cone drill and turned in a 27 1/2 inch vertical leap and an 8 foot 6 broad jump.
Bryant recorded eight tackles for

The Steelers added a 19th undrafted free agent on Wednesday as it was announced that Michigan State punter Aaron Bates has been signed. Bates measures in at 6 feet, 198 pounds and played in all 52 games during his career with the Spartans where he also served as the teams holder. Bates ranked second in school history with 260 punts and seventh in punting average of 42 yards.
Heading into today, the Steelers only had one other punter signed to the roster in Jeremy Kapinos. Daniel Sepulveda is currently an unrestricted free agent and the signing of Bates could lead you to believe that there is

Today we unveil Season 2, Episode 1 (please help us come up with a better name) of The Terrible Podcast. The lockout is over finally and seemingly no real damage has been done, unless you own a bar or motel in Canton, as they have cancelled the Hall of Fame Game. David Todd and I take a look at the big picture and spend a few minutes on the nuts and bolts of the labor agreement. We also look at the league timeline of events and the Steelers schedule from when players officially report Thursday up until the first preseason game at Washington on August 12th.
Things will get hectic starting Thursday

This post will serve as the running list of undrafted free agent players that have agreed to terms with the Steelers. I should note that I will try to confirm these as best as I can, but none of them should be considered official until the Steelers announce the signings. I have seen players commit to one team and jump to another in the past and some of the reports can not be verified. Please bookmark this page and check back as I will be updating it over the next several days.

The Steelers seem to have their first undrafted free agent commitment tonight as Southern Mississippi defensive tackle Anthony Gray has agreed to sign with the Steelers. Gray reportedly had it narrowed down to the Packers and Steelers according to a post on Facebook and chose the Steelers. Gray was reportedly worked out by the Steelers prior to the NFL draft and measured in at 5-foot-11 3/4, 330 pounds at his Pro Day back in March where he reportedly ran the 40-yard dash in 5.19 seconds and 5.17 seconds, the short shuttle in 4.61 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.93 seconds. He registered a

In a normal year following the draft, the Steelers usually have already called undrafted free agents and have their agreements in place with them. With the lockout still in place following the draft, no free agent signings can take place until the new league year starts. This could be as early as Monday or could roll on much, much longer. Below is a list I have created of possible target candidates to be signed by the Steelers as undrafted free agents. Feel free to suggest more in the comments. Currently I have the Steelers with 57 players under contract so you could see a few more undrafted free

As I noted this morning in my around the web segment, it appeared as if Vanderbilt center Bradley Vierling would be signed as an undrafted free agent. According now to the Tennessean, Vierling signed a free-agent football contract with the Steelers on this morning. The Steelers liked his versatility and how he worked against Tennessee nose tackle Dan Williams. If indeed this signing holds, that would push the Steelers roster to 91 players.

The draft as over and the Steelers will now begin the process of signing 5-7 undrafted free agents. Check back here and I will pass along the un-drafted free agents as I get them. Please note that none of these are official and will not be until announced on Steelers.com. These reports come in fast from various sources and sometimes are just invites to work out.
UPDATE: Daryll Clark reports that he has not agreed yet with Steelers. As I warned these come in from various sources, so be warned.
Colbert said 5-7 UDFA's will be signed. I currently have 7 on my unconfirmed list, so that may be about
